JohnQPine 0 Posted August 1, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 1, 2008 This is actually a sound clip I took of bus 309 on the N35 last year, everytime we had to stop the engine sounded like it was gonna stall out. The cummins buses used to do that with the a/c on (the 270-287 batch especially) but they seemed to have fixed that, now the 300s and 400s do it. It's probably just a bad belt. Click here to watch Almost-43-42 You can hear it lose RPM and then "come back" There have been times where it hasn't come back, I remember one 300s series bus that stalled out everytime the driver had to stop! LIBusdriver349 1 Posted August 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2008 hah.....all my 300 buses that i drive to mineola do that when i pt it in neutral and pull the parking brake.....its like an rev meter that if it gets too low itll give it a kick....cept mine dont stall.....
