The line 1 is the oldest line of Paris metro, it opened in 1900.

The line is 16.6km long with 25 station. It carries 725,000 passengers per day.

Line 1 has been converted to driverless operation. The first driverless trains began to run in November 2011. During more than one years the line 1 had driver operated and deriverless train running at the same time.

Today the line is completely driverless.

The stock of the line 1 is the MP05.

You can see the red light of previous train and you can even notice the white light the train following the one arriving in the oposite way. Frequency is high.

A Gap ? There is a gap filler, a blue light and a song to make you notice the gap. Without forgetting the mind the gap announcement in four languages (French, English, German and Japanese) in the train

The line 1 is more interesting to ride than the other driverless line that I ride or seen in video because of its oldness.

By the front window, you can see century old tunnel, old connections, unused platform (Porte Maillot), signages and plenty of things that you cannot see in more recent lines.

Cool.could you post about the outdoor rubber-tire lines next?

Yes. There is only one rubber-tired with outdoor sections apart the line 1, the line 6.
