Fare hikes for terrible service?

Don't you think people are gonna probably like boycott or something because it's outrageous how the MTA wants to increase fare for inefficient service. I don't see anyone complaining about the rats in subway stations or how bad it smells down there? I also don't see any trackwork being done, yet they want to raise fares... pfft.

It's a Subway, not a vacation resort.

1. They just recently restored and improved service on a bunch of routes.

2. People complain about the rats, thats why they are taking a new approach to ridding them. See here

3. You might not see it, but I, along with many other people see the track work that goes on during our commutes. If there wasn't any track work going on, we'd see a lot more problems than we experience on an everyday basis.

Trolls are gonna troll. I wonder how this troll feels about NY State politicians being giddy with glee that a chunk of the MTA's funding via payroll tax got axed by a lunatic Tea Party judge from Long Island. Hilarious how those clowns upstate never have to answer for this.
