Can I get confirmation on YUK 4246. It appears it’s off the SBS fleet and operating on the S61 heading to the Mall.

Remember that SBS units sometimes appear on local routes, especially on Staten Island.

5249 freshly repainted as a memoir of the the last Rapid Transit Series unit

You said it elsewhere, but this bus now has a BLACK back. A few of the RTS buses retired this year retired with black backs (5126 and 5174 as two examples).

Those had to be real old paintjobs. Probably 2006/2007 was the latest those buses could've been painted, so we're talking twelve-thirteen years in a coat of paint. Maybe closer to fifteen. Some of the early NGs made it for a good decade (3800 being one off them), and the D60 order you had 5543 and 5575 which lasted for about ten years, the occasional oddball (7596, 6490), but otherwise it's only the over-the-road coaches that make it that long...

5991 CS in SBS livery, unwrapped at 100 St with blue waves

That is completely dumb. Why mess up CS original allotment when they could've gave them 6083, 6085, 6087, 6089, 6091, and 6093 since those are technically the original assignments when the evens go to TU as well.

They wonder why transportation is disorganized, can't even organize bus fleets LMAOO.

It might be mileage reasons. Those 608X and 609X buses spent most of their lives doing short quill crosstowns while the buses moved to tuskegee had been doing the long q44+ for a while.

All of that said though, everything 6083 can do, 5991 can do as well though so in the end, does it really matter.
