Amtrak changes name of regional service!

National passenger rail carrier Amtrak has seemingly changed its northeast corridor regional service to "northeast regional" with matching logo!

 

 

I received an email with various promotional deals. This new logo was at the bottom of the email, and also in the email it explained that "the regional is now the northeast regional".

 

Interesting stuff.

I think it looks and sounds great. The new name definitely focuses more on where it serves.

They should have other regional trains, like between georgia and florida, and florida and texas etc.

Think they'll come up with a new paint scheme? (I know, I know, money's tight). I like this name a lot better than "Acela Regional" that it used to be called.

They have like 40 different routes.
