Should be that mta is mta and you should be allowed to use your pass not only as a courtesy if the conductor or driver is willing. This should include crossing bridges mta operates. Just sayin...... Bottom line is MTA wants all of their money. And since they operate each subsidiary like a different company and issue different passes to each one, there's no cross honoring for free travel with each other.
