I'm sure there was a better way to go about this. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/51788389/#.UYgnXaJJOAg Before the necklace thief, a suspicious package on a at Grand Central led to an investigation and serious delays. Just wanted to share what thousands of commuters went through this morning
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted May 6, 2013 #2 Posted May 6, 2013 LOL... I saw a sh*tload of people walking down Lex. this morning as I finished up my nap on the BxM1. I saw a cops on Park Avenue and cops driving in unmarked cars towards Grand Central. When I got off my express bus some guy wanted to get on as traffic was a mess, with long lines for the Lex. Ave buses and none in sight and the B/O just ignored him and shut the doors, which is exactly what he should've done. He had a counter on his bus so there was no way he was picking up anybody even if he wanted to.

peacemak3r Posted May 6, 2013 #5 Posted May 6, 2013 I guess I was lucky to have no transportation troubles in Lower Manhattan eh? But these tourists balance it out. =P

Just wanted to share what thousands of commuters went through this morning You're not simply innocently sharing this, you're complaining - Your commentary regarding these incidents is what gives it away. Despite the fact I think your concern is very much misplaced (making an issue out of the MTA's handling of this situation, instead of the proper authorities catching this thief in the first place), it's almost as if you're blaming the MTA that some petty thief unlawfully went running hiding in the subway tunnels... What did you expect the MTA to do here, keep 4 subway lines running & risk hitting this moron.... As for making a point about "serious" delays due to an investigation involving a suspicious package... Really now..... LOL... This is a guy that complains if he doesn't have a bus or subway every 5 minutes. What, you mean like this... and especially, this
Turbo19 Posted May 9, 2013 #10 Posted May 9, 2013 ^ Please give that man an award. I knew we should have gone ahead with the forum nominations.

He really doesn't realize how spoiled he is... I was transit deprived for years on Staten Island and realize how lucky I am with the services I have now. This guy has damn good service and doesn't even realize it. Yes, the can f*ck up a lot but he has a plethora of options at his disposal.... Subways, express bus, select bus service, etc.
