When dealing with stats, the old disclaimer "your mileage may vary....", is relevant.  Whoever is producing a study can easily 'cook the books' to skew results in support of their agenda.  Nothing surprising here.

My job requires me to use some statistics, and this is just pathetic. This is the type of analysis I did in 7th grade. I guess the NTSB does not own even a single copy of statistics software
