R68 Subway Car Posted May 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2013 It was on this very date, 25 years ago, when the first set of R68As entered service. They debuted on the IND Concourse Line.

DJ MC Posted May 18, 2013 Share #11 Posted May 18, 2013 The very cars that replaced subway cars that dated from 1948. Time flies indeed. These trains were still clean and shiny during the 90s.

mediccjh Posted May 19, 2013 Share #13 Posted May 19, 2013 Watch your mouth Sir! Truth hurts. I want to push them into the ocean. The R68s, on the other hand, are my 2nd favorite to operate.

It is weird to watch old videos when you see that dirty and old trains you know are shiny, clean and new. It is sad when you see the trains that you have known new and shiny are now dirty and in bad state.
Princelex Posted May 19, 2013 Share #15 Posted May 19, 2013 Wow, 25 years. I've always loved them as a passenger. I don't know from the operational side of things but they were always fun to ride on. Good stuff!
