But does anyone take pity on New Hamburg and visit there? I like this place and there are a couple of cool overpass vantage points, one low and one high. Here ya go...enjoy. Backlit photo because somebody didn't follow the rules of good photography. P32DM pulling the Poughkeepsie bound train out of New Hamburg. The south end of New Hamburg is a small drawbridge. This is near Little Stony Point, that point of woods and beach between Cold Spring and Breakneck Ridge. Action! From up on the high wire, here is a MN train just south of the Bear Mountain Bridge. Mine is the action pic where the cop has pulled someone over and there's a jogger.
