08/09/08 Upper Hudson MN Stuff

I know, more diesel MN stuff. There's Poughkeepsie, and Peekskill and of course Breakneck Ridge. But does anyone take pity on New Hamburg and visit there? I like this place and there are a couple of cool overpass vantage points, one low and one high. Here ya go...enjoy.

The south end of New Hamburg is a small drawbridge.

 

This is near Little Stony Point, that point of woods and beach between Cold Spring and Breakneck Ridge.

 

Action!

 

From up on the high wire, here is a MN train just south of the Bear Mountain Bridge.

 

I did not know there was a tunnel just south of the Bear Mountain Bridge. Now I do

Thanks! Mine is the action pic where the cop has pulled someone over and there's a jogger. I was photographing that scene anyway when the train came into my viewfinder
