SirJokaPlaya 162 #1 Posted June 2, 2013 In training in Pleasantville, NJ. Two of these new buses came in on Thursday. Yet, there was a mishap. One of the passenger windows was shattered. Apparently when the bus went to the bus wash, the wash actually shattered the window. Reason? The wash is fitted for a 102 inch buses like the MCI's and Prevosts...........the VH's are 104. Oy. Cait Sith 8,119 #2 Posted June 2, 2013 Some of those will be going to the Yo! Bus operation. A few have been prepped for said service.
Turbo19 2,509 #3 Posted June 2, 2013 I may be wrong, but it's to my understanding these were purchased due to backlog at both MCI and Prevost. Is there any truth to that at all?

theaveragejoe 282 #5 Posted June 6, 2013 From my understanding there is 5 Setra's and 5 Van Hools in the fleet on a one year lease for testing. They were running LA to Dallas route. But the Van Hools have been transfered to the Northeast. 2 of them have already been repainted/wrapped for YO Bus with pics on one of the Facebook groups.
WannaBeMTA12 20 #6 Posted November 16, 2013 Vanhools are 102. NOT

traildriver 44 #8 Posted December 11, 2013 Vanhools are 102. NOT 104 Right....102" is the legal limit for width. Here in the NE, that is plenty wide....already a tight fit on many roads--a couple more inches may not sound like much, but try squeezing thru traffic, trucks double-parked, toll booths, etc......not to mention narrow lanes side by side with other wide vehicles, and with strong crosswinds....not fun.....
