engineerboy6561 Posted June 17, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 17, 2013 This is something that's been sitting mostly finished on my hard drive for a few weeks; I got it done a couple of days ago and I figured I'd show it to you guys. It's basically a high-floor articulated bus with the end caps and roof fairings based on the DE60LFR; it's 65 feet long (similar to the 65-BRT that got built for LACMTA a while back), and seats 71 people or 65 with two wheelchairs. The bus has suburban seating and overhead luggage racks; the interior is fully detailed, as is the operator's area. I put together custom textures in Paint for the LED signs; I started from a 24x200 dot matrix, using the Luminator font guide at http://www.rollsigngallery.com/esigns/lumfontgraphics.html for the route number and using letters from Cait Sith's signature as a rough guide for the destination info. I put it in two different liveries; the first is simply the current NYC Transit livery, while the second is a fictional NYC Transit livery modeled on WMATA's Metrobus paint scheme. The first bus can be downloaded from http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=5bb2d2fdaaecc6d2542f64e03384ee7b, while the second can be found at http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=9c0045f31b5c758c72988d6d4f8826e4 And without further ado, here are photos:
