What is your favorite bus model and least favorite bus model?

Well i will start with my favorites.....

1]Novabus RTSs these are my favorite buses in the whole fleet. They ride smooth can go really fast and have nice engine sounds. And are well maintained by greatbush depot.

2]GMC RTSs (The ones from green bus lines and NYCT). I miss these buses because they were street exust RTSs which had cool engine sounds. I mostly rode on these buses on the B6 B41 B44 B68 Q35 and Q40. I wish they were still running.

3]TMC RTSs mostly the same reasons as the GMC RTSs. But i kinda lost interest in these buses since they got repowed eww......

4]Orion V(The ones from green bus lines, queens surface, Command bus, LIB and NYCT) These buses are really fun to ride and are the fastest bus in the fleet.

5]The late MCI classics(The ones from green bus lines and command). These buses were awsome when they were running they ran smooth and had a unique look to them. I wish these were still running.

And now my least favorites....

1]The orion VII I think everyone here knows why i dislike these buses.

2]Those new flyer LF buses that JG depot has mostly the same reasons as the VII

3]The MCI D4500 These buses have no chacter what so ever they pretty dull and lame. Not to mention these buses replaced the great MCI classics. Which were much better and had MUCH more chacter than the D4500s.

Here is a list of my favorite buses.

 

RTS - While I like all of the RTS buses my favorite ones are the old PBL ones because of the legroom.

 

MCI D4500 - They ride very nicely and are not to loud. The D4500 is also my favorite MCI bus of all time.

 

Orion VII Hybrids - They are very enjoyable to ride on fast routes such as the B100. They also have great A/C. The only problem I have with them is that they don't handle crowds well.

My top dog: RTS-Nove/TMC! [The Coach style ones too_

The RTS-06 8600s from MJQ, they can still run it when it reaches the dog stage in thier mid 20s. Too bad all of them were removed from revenue service. Very bad decision from MTA.

 

The 317, 581-610 Orion V CNG series second favorite, built tough with no rust shown unlike their sister buses in diesel 1/2/3/4/5/6XX series, could have gotten another second rehab thanks to MTA money situation; soon to be scrapped.
