Earle Baldwin Posted August 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2007 Good morning, all. I thought you might like to see some views of R17's operating on the Number 2 Train. Bronx Park E. Station 3/2/85 Bronx Park E. Station 3/2/85 Bronx Park E. Station 3/9/85 Pelham Parkway Station 4/85 Bronx Park East Station 4/85 The 6526 presents an interesting appearance with clean white paint only on its sides. The Pelham Parkway Station was a favorite location of mine due to the very visible grade of the elevated structure. Enjoy, Earle
Eastman346 Posted August 16, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 16, 2007 I woke up this morning expecting another post by Mr. Baldwin and his dirty IRT's. Fine pictures as usual. In the second photo and on others did the MTA just do a sloppy paint job to temporarily cover up recent grafitti on the car?
Trainspotter Posted August 16, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 16, 2007 In the second photo and on others did the MTA just do a sloppy paint job to temporarily cover up recent grafitti on the car? Yep its just basically paint on top of paint on top of paint. From the looks of it, it looks like they don't bother painting the front and back ends. Nice pics Earle! Tracknut Posted August 16, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 16, 2007 Not only are they covered in grafitti but they're covered with dirt aslo. Did the NYCTA have car washes back then?
NJTransitFan Posted August 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 16, 2007 Thanks for sharing more wonderful pictures with us Earle. The third picture from the top is my favorite. It's a great shot coming around the bend.
