Nice shots.

Two Questions:

1) how did you get in

2) where is JFK Depot

Rockaway Bl and 147th avenue, very close to JFK airport. You can get there with the Q3.

I didn't get in, I just took photos from outside, most of them didnt have a gate blocking, but with the GMC and 05 on the lift, I put the camera thru the holes.

Wow those are very nice photos. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Thanks!

Nice pics!! My favorite is the ones of 1001, im shocked that they would leave an museum bus out in the open like that.

2) where is JFK Depot

1) Theres an storage lot in front of actual depot with a bunch of buses in it. Also lurking around the depot, not actully going inside of it.

2)On rocaway blvd in queens. You take the Q6 bus there, or take the belt parkway to the rocaway blvd exit and make a right going towards five towns and you will the depot on the left side you can't miss it.

It surprised me too, even though its tucked in the corner. Thanks!

Great shots man!! Love the street side lineup. BTW... Anyone know when they replaced the rear turn signals on 10001??

They used to be vertical, right?

I took that to mean the shot angle... only GBL's TMC-RTS-06's had the vertical rear signals, and not all of them at that.

No, they were always horizontal, but they were the old bulbs. Now they're LED's!!

That's interesting. A GMC RTS-04 with LED turn signals.

IIRC, 1150-1182 (GBL numbers) and a few Jamaica Buses that were used to be in GBL had the vertical rear signals.

A few 59xx RTS have it too

Most likely the same buses.

They are the same buses.

There's usually a Security Guard at the front entrance of the depot. Did they approach you at anytime?

Listen, you got to be very careful when getting pics like this-especially the ones from inside the facility. You may be taking them from a public street but you are shooting onto MTA Property. The outside pics-ok.

I've taken pics at JFK Depot before but 98% of those taken were from a chartered fantrip. We got special permission to take them.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the photos very much. Just be aware.

Actually, I was surprised that there was not a security guard there. I took all pics from outside though, just in some it looks like it's inside because I put the camera inside the fence holes.

Btw, what kind of a trip are you talking about?
