Cant access PM or Chat

I know Im a new member but...

 

Its weird that i cant access PMs or the chat room, nor can I find documentation saying there are requirements to be met before I can?

 

Only creating this topic because i cant PM an admin

Also, I cant change my profile picture also.

 

I've used other IPB sites before. never knew you could do these measures 

I hear you there. The staff run this place tight, but it's not as bad once you pass the waiting period.

Just a quick reply as to not leave you hanging.

 

Unfortunately due to previous attempts of viral attacks the staff has chosen to use preventative measures to prevent similar situations. I don't necessarily agree with the measures, and likewise I do get what you're saying about prior notification.

 

Hopefully a staff member can elaborate more on the situation later. At any rate, I'd hope this won't serve as a deterrent from this site.
