UlmerPark B6 0 Posted August 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 24, 2008 The olympics are finally over. I loved it, and also gladd for it to be over! Not here for another 4 years... Are you gonna miss it, and what was your favorite part?
DOB2RTO 29 Posted August 24, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 24, 2008 The Olympics? I forgot it was on, and never watched anyways, as it bores me..... I will only watch when they have midgets being chased by hippos (marathon run), or when they have young female b-day suit mud wrasslin'. Right now if I want to see the latter, I have to pay....... I gotta admit it kinda bored me too. The only thing I liked from the Olympics was Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.

Q43 Floral Park 39 Posted August 25, 2008 Share #8 Posted August 25, 2008 I boycotted it. When is philly or NYC going to get it???????????????? - Andy Let's hope never for NYC, I can't imagine how bad things would be. They have to finally start using cattle prods on the and to get locals and toursits into the trains. All the tourists asking for directions and the traffic would be horrific. You'd have to leave home an extra hour earlier. I'm not really seeing any benefits of the Olympics in NYC. On a lighter note, I wished the Olympics were in continent where the time was similar to NYC (1-3 hours difference at most). Trying to reset my sleeping habits for school after more than a week of volleyball, track & field, gymnastics and basketball at 5am isn't going to be easy. But it was worth it, especially the Track part.
Pablo M 201 35 Posted August 25, 2008 Share #9 Posted August 25, 2008 I actually enjoyed the Olympics this year so yeah, I'm going to miss it. It was great this year. 7LineFan 256 Posted August 25, 2008 Share #10 Posted August 25, 2008 Yeah, I'm going to miss them too. Vancouver 2010, and London 2012... so long away.
Locomotion69 14 Posted August 26, 2008 Share #11 Posted August 26, 2008 It is a good thing that the olympics is every 4 years and not every year. One can only take so much of seeing Micheal Phelps face every 30 seconds on tv. Since he is a rich young man now,he should pay for otoplasty surgery, get his ears pinned back, haha. But never because tourists, protests, arrests, streets shut down, subway shut down, and terriorists!
7LineFan 256 Posted August 27, 2008 Share #13 Posted August 27, 2008 I wonder what stadiums will be used if the Olympics were in NYC. I think they might use Citi Field and send the Mets over to Yankee Stadium. But never because tourists, protests, arrests, streets shut down, subway shut down, and terriorists! That was the backup plan. They were originally going to use the West Side Stadium before that proposal was shot down. At least I have US Open tennis to occupy me now.
