The only way I see this working is have the 4 run like the 6 in the bronx. This would mean having the MTA installing switches north and south of Burnside Av. Just have every other 4 terminate @ Burnside Av or every 2nd or 3rd 4. The day the Jerome line was built was the day it was doomed. If 1 person holds the door on the 4 in the Bronx, the whole line becomes a mad house. I couldnt imagine if the jerome line had two drifferent lines running on it.
