Management Interview Question

Interviewed for a management position with the MTA Oct,2013,  the day of my interview I submitted my pre-employment application which also included the criminal background check so I'm awaiting feedback or next steps;upon following up 4 weeks later(the end of November) I was told that the interview process was not completed as of yet so I'm guessing no news is good news, Recently I looked on indeed and I see the position has been posted again, so my question is if I haven't been selected as a candidate will I receive an email or a letter in the mail indicated this (some sort of notification)..... also if I'm still in the running is there a specific time frame in which I should expect a second interview..

Any feedback is helpful...

I'd give the person who contacted you for interview or the person you interviewed with a follow up call or shoot them a follow up email wouldn't kill you to do both just to see what the outcome of your interview was/is. Could be that other slots opened up in the same department as people move up and around within the system or that you were not selected for the position and they are still looking to fill the slot. Either way find out your personal status. Best of luck.

I actually followed up a month later and I was told that the interview process was still in effect, but I haven't received any correspondence since then. (I interviewed Oct,2013 and followed up a month later in November)... I know there is a waiting game but I was wondering if there are deadlines for these positions, what's the normal timeframe, or how would I receive follow-up even I'm not a candidate..

while following up one of the interviewers generated an automatic email response alerting everyone that they would no longer be an employee with the company, so I automatically assumed that there would be a transitioning period before I would receive any other correspondence, however just recently like I said in my previous post the same management position I applied to was reposted...
