I'll be watching it. I make sure I go the movie theater, I know foamers won't go to. H00ray for out of NY options!

BTW, here is the IMDB page on it.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1111422/

Check it every once and then.....

I think ALL theatres will be filled with Transit Buffs, the night it comes out.. The sign in all theatres acoss the the Tri-State Area will read:

"CAUTION: Slippery Floors, due to Massive Foaming". :D

I hate that they used an R62 made it look like an 142. It looked horrable they should have used an redbird or an normal looking R62/A.

Well the whole point of the film, besides remaking the story, is to paint a new image of the subway (to outsiders), i.e. showcasing the NTTs, and there are no single unit NTTs so this is what they did for the scene where the first car breaks off the train. Of course when we see it we'll be able to tell.

I wounder if this will be based on the R142As, rather then an Old R33

Btw I fixed the Wiki page link

That's the thing. They're using R142As for this film, which do not come in single cars, hence the R62 "NTT".

Maybe also they wont use R142As, unless the production pays High. Since these cars were recently Built (around 2001-2003). Maybe the MTA will allow an older car, R62? or the original R22 from the movie of 1973

They can't... they've already filmed the subway car parts apparently.

Anyway, guys, it's been said many times that they're using an R62 made to look like an R142 (and it's pretty good, I've seen pictures).

I say put that thing back into service as is... with the exception of the controls of course, those have to be restored. Would make a nice anomaly against the R62A monotony.

The pics of the converted R62 looks great. They even painted the yellowish panels in the cab. I don't think that it would look all that bad if R62s were rebuilt like that. The one thing I don't get is what looks like an operators console on the off side end of the cab. There is even a strip map too.

Its going back into service, but not like that. The movie studio paid to have the R62A look like that, and they're paying to put it back to normal for service again.
