Raritan Valley Line - one seat ride to NY Penn

New rail schedules take effect this Sunday, not only does it reflect additional service because of the Pulaski Skyway, but one seat rides on the Raritan Valley Line to NY Penn station thanks to the ALP-45 DPs

 

This will only be mid weekday... no weekend service on the Raritan Valley line from Newark to New York because Amtrak has one Hudson rail tunnel closed for maintenance

That probably hinges on the success of "Midtown Direct" RVL....

I think they wanted to do duals on the NJCL before Sandy came and after Sandy came the idea or proposal got thrown out or put on hold.

That's a good question. I can only think of one time I saw an ALP45DP on the NJCL. Funny thing is it wasn't in electric mode in the electric portion of the line.
