Not this year, maybe in 2015 and we want to do NYC too (not on the same trip, lol). What do you mean by iffy? I don't remember seeing any rules against photography. Here's part of page 2 of the MBTA's photography policy: "Personal Use Photography (Non-Commercial) No permit is required for personal and/or non-commercial use Imagestaken in public areas.Non-commercial photographers are prohibited from using tripods,monopods, wiring or any like equipment that may have an impact on thesafety of customers or employees and are prohibited from interfering with thefree flow of passengers, disrupting service in any manner or interfering withany transportation activity. Commercial Photography Any person wishing to take Images for any type of commercial purpose or usemust first obtain a Permit (See sample attached.) A permit may be obtainedby completing the Application (See sample attached) and submitting it to theMBTA Marketing Department, 2nd Floor, Room 2310, 10 Park Plaza, Boston,MA 02116 (617-222-5568). Once issued, the Permit will be valid for aspecific location, date and time, which is stated on the Permit." So you didn't have to worry about taking pictures. I would have just waved at the T worker and explained why your taking the pics, tell them to have a nice day, dont be rude and you should be fine.
