7211-7220 seems to be Out of Service again. I heard it was in service for around 3 days or so, and then went OOS again due to more problems.

Makes me wonder if any R62A have been transferred to the (6) lately or 1891-1895 & 2206-2210 are back on the (1) . I haven't seen those two borrowed sets on the (7) lately. Then again, I haven't been on the (7) much as of late.

Why Not Send those 2000s , from the (7) to the (1) that way all the (1) 's R62As can be from 2001-2475 and have all the 1800s and 1900 from the (1) go to the (6) , so that Westchester would then have to maintain R62As 1651-2000

My theory is that might happen, also having the singles go to the (1) may also happen just to have em for both work and revenue service, remember the (1) already owns some singles (ex shuttle cars) even though they're loaned to the (7), these single units will just be like the R32's that do both revenue service and refuse pick ups to replace those R33WF cars

Have you noticed how dirty 7811-7821 now have become?   The weather (snow) has partly to do with it, but the cars definitely look used.   I haven't noticed the shoe marks under the windows on the doors yet and it will come in time, once the cars are in service for a while.   Passengers who usually stand for the duration of their trip, very often lean against the closed doors and place there shoe sole on one door. Very noticable on the R142/143/160's.   It's ashame that many people can't respect property or space that isn't their own.   They simply don't care... most don't want to really be on the subway.

You should have seen 7822, there were footprints all over the front board where the number is and the wheelchair spot. The CBTC cabinet also had it, same with the doors. And on the ceiling where the air comes in, there is already that black triangle dirty crap on it, just like the R142A's have.

Otherwise, it's good as new.

Not to go off topic, but I rode R143 for the first time and that car was crap. Worst than the R142A's, which I just rode before and that one had no bucking surprisingly. The screechy breaks on the R142A's are going to freak me out when they transfer to the (7).

7833-7843 is running today. I just got off it Flushing Bound about 15 minutes ago.

Rode it this morning Going express towards manhattan, They seem to have to updated the the ladys voice (Forger her name) again. The blue ad's that come when a new train arrives on property was still on it lol

I can confirm that as of today (04 Feb.) at 19:46, there are three sets running on Line 7. I couldn't catch the numbers, but I was on 7811-7821 towards Flushing (exp) and saw on the way two other sets pass by on the Manhattan bound local track.

As of Right now there are 5 sets of R188s on the (7) here are the car numbers

Converted sets

7211-7220 out of service due to issues.

New Cars

7811-7821

7822-7832

7833-7843

7844-7844

Yesterday was a heck of a day

First I saw a glimpse of a set of R188s at 74 St

Then I saw set 7833-7843 in a station

Then I saw set 7822-7832 on the Corona Yard lead

Then I saw set 7811-7822 at Main St, probably the set I first had a glimpse of.

Off topic

But I was on an M3 yesterday and took an RFW vid to Great Neck

Then I saw something weird

Some singles were coupled together in the train I was on, I only saw 6 of the 11 cars

1948+1934+1916+1906+

1913+1905...

Maybe these were the singles from the 11 car trains sent to the (6)

Could have sworn it was 10, Oh well at least we get 8 brand new R188 sets

Hmm... according to Wikipedia...the 2010-2014 capital plan originally called for 146 new cars to be purchased, and of these new cars, 110 cars would go to make up ten new 11-car trains (with the remaining 36 cars as "C" cars). But in the latest revision, only 103 new cars will be purchased to form eight new 11-car trains. Kind of unfortunate in my opinion, but definitely better than a fleet comprised 100% of converted R142As...

Ok I need to update my list do you have all of the car #s of the 7 sets?

Here are the numbers for 5 of the 7 sets of R62As on the (6)

1741-1750

1716 -1720 ,1721-1725

1791-1795 , 1831-1835

1706-1710 , 1761 - 1765

1766-1770 . 1776 , 1780

Cars 2191-2195 are back on the (1) I caught it today on my way to work it didnt have any strip maps on it , so it seems like it might go back to the (6) or they haven't gotten to reputting (1) strip maps on them

I counted 5 sets of R62As out on the (6) the day before yesterday and the same day I saw the other 2 at Westchester Yard
