7341-7349-7912-7350 Is in service

Notice something they changed the LED destination signs inside the car.

Instead of 103 ST, it is 103 ST- Corona

90 ST- Elmhurst

82 ST- Jackson Hts

74 ST- Broadway

That's an interesting change.

Makes me wish the (7) said ALL the full station names between Queensboro Plaza and Woodside.

Or acknowledged that 52nd St was Lincoln Av and 69 St was Fisk Ave... lol not happening.

That's likely not going to happen. Unlike the stations from 74 Street eastward, the secondary names for 33 Street through 69 Street don't really exist on a map. They obviously exist in address books and some Queens-centric maps, but you can't find them on Google maps or the like.

Just got on a <7> 188 set. The interior sign on car 7347 says <7> To Main St and announces it in Manhattan as a Queens bound 7 *express train* instead of just a 7 train. Is this a softwate update or an old program? Hopefully they put this on all the 188s

That's another good change. It's likely an update to the current program unless the stations announced included 45 Road-Court House Sq and Willets Point-Shea Stadium.

Well, when the first R188 set 7811-7821 was in service as an express train, the conductor notice why the interior signs was not showing the express sign but the people in charge of the train said that there was a glitch in the software and soon will be fix. Well then it took long to fix a 3-8 minute software change, especially when the 7 train fleet is near becoming all R188 line.

No, it announced Court Square. Not sure about Mets though.

Speaking of R188's why does Kawasaki forget to fix the Exterior LED Glitches on the train?

You mean the busted signs?

That's not their problem, all they are doing is installing the CBTC kits in the cars...everything else is on the MTA itself

I wonder why the MTA didn't upgrade the exterior signs to LED instead of LCD when they order 88 new cars, LCD isn't very bright and get messed up when not maintain (6 train fleet)

Normally I would scream WESTCHESTER YARD!!! and start ranting, but that would be completely off topic.

I think Javier means the new R188's if they came with glitches.. Not too sure though..

Based on observations I'm hearing, an update is rolling out to the R-188 sets. Most likely this update adds Hudson Yards - 34 Street as a destination in the AAS, and also has a few visual tweaks.

Queens-bound expresses are now announced as such in Manhattan, and the interior signs finally show the appropriate <7> where applicable. The station names are also displayed differently, such as "74 ST-BROADWAY" instead of just "74 ST".

Finally! What about the interior sign for Flushing-Main St, which currently says only "Flushing", for both "To Flushing" and "This is Flushing"?

Given that the 7350 set shows "Main St" instead of "Flushing-Main St," I suppose that has changed too.
