Definitely reduced in number since the R-179s returned.

That would likely be some kind of physical evidence for legal proceedings. Short-hand, a lawsuit somewhere along the way.

There’s less R32’s in service on the because of inspections/ Maintenance. Also they’ve retired about 16 cars recently. Also note, they ran excessively when the R179’s were Taken OOS. The R32’s were breaking down left and right at higher rates recently. (Mainly door problems). So to maintain reliability in train service, they’re using the R46’s much more while the R179’s start re entering service again. OK, so what you're meaning is 8683-87 and 8708-12 were moved to Jamaica on January 31? That would leave just 10 at Coney Island, then we'd move on to the original Kawasaki-Alstom R-160Bs (8713-8837). Those were the very first R-160s used on the and back in early 2007. Hard to believe they are on the road for 13 years already... Far rockaway Posted February 1, 2020 Share #5468 Posted February 1, 2020 Is it true that the r32s will be retired by March 2020. That the MTA really want those cars gone.

IIRC, only about 80-100 Cars are being retired. The rest will remain until the R211's arrive next year.

Only 50 R160s in 5-car sets won't be used at Jamaica, unless plans change with the arrival of the R211s, which could potentially displace some R160s from Jamaica, perhaps the Siemens sets, elsewhere.
