nycbusfan 2 Posted September 4, 2008 Share #5 Posted September 4, 2008 That's where 6729 (MC-9A) was headed for when its pic was taken. That bus must be Lake Charter 302. They also have Ex-Lakeland 190 and 193 as well as two ex-Lakeland MCI D series buses.

AFAIK, Lakeland hasn't sold any Ds yet. They need every bus they can get during the rush hours. Charter buses are often used on line runs during the rush hours. Ken S. 4 Posted September 28, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted September 28, 2008 From pics I've taken it appears that Darkanu is painting it's D-Series buses to match Lakeland's NJT buses as seen here.
metsfan 2 Posted September 28, 2008 Share #8 Posted September 28, 2008 Awesome photos. As far as the njt paint matching, it'd be cool to see the "swoosh" on the front in green too. - A

Ken S. 4 Posted March 22, 2009 Author Share #16 Posted March 22, 2009 that is a 102a3. c3's have straight backs Are you sure? Atlantic Express' C3s have sloped backs.
MTAGuy 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Share #17 Posted March 23, 2009 Are you sure? Atlantic Express' C3s have sloped backs. yes your right, most of the c3's do have sloped backs although some are flat but im 99% positive that this bus in the pic is a A3, i know MCI's pretty well the 102C3 has the modified front end that looks identical to the current d4000CL, and sometimes has a flat back and square taillights. that bus in the pic is definitly a 102a3 based on its front end. these are 102c3's: these are 102a3's see the difference? MTAGuy 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Share #19 Posted March 23, 2009 Is it possible that Lakeland 202 is a B3 model? no its not. the a series looks like the last three pics i posted. the 102b3 have the modified front end like the 102c and d3's (the first 3 pics). the 102c3 and b3 look almost identical
Ken S. 4 Posted April 5, 2009 Author Share #20 Posted April 5, 2009 Ok, buses 201 and 202 are either off of or soon to be off of Lakeland's roster and headed to join the rest of their sister A3s (and MC-9 190) in Lakewood. I last saw them sitting between Lake Charter 303 and Darkeinu 4501. To MTAGuy, what makes 202 appear to me as a B3 is that the front suggests A3 but the rear suggests C3. Ken S. 4 Posted April 10, 2009 Author Share #21 Posted April 10, 2009 Here's MC-9 #190 in the "afterlife". It's currently owned by Darkanu and was the only MC-9 painted this way. There's also an "MC-9 Camper" there for some reason.
