Today's Finds (artics in weird places)

Recommended Posts

I get a feeling the I am hogging the World Transit Photo section. Today, I went to fan the Yonge-Univrsity Subway Shuttle south of Bloor, and I took around 100 photos. I will show a few of those photos, with the D40LFs, along with two very rare events that occurred today.

The D40LFs on the Shuttle:

The two NYC Subway entrance film Props at York and Adelaide, which are of Wall Street (2)(3) station, giving me photos of all three prop entrances:

Bus 8013 on 26 Dupont using the second bus platform at St. George Station, which is usually not in use. Despite the fact that there is still access to the subway concourse, passengers were made to cross the roadway for the regular platform of the 26 Dupont, which was being used by the shuttle buses on Yonge.

And finally, Nova LFS Artic 9023 made its way onto the 75 Sherbourne and 82 Rosedale routes, which is a very rare occurrence and probably the first time it has ever happened.

Bus 9023 was taken out of service around 10:00 PM, and was replaced by Orion V 9427 to this point. While I would have liked to have got a photo of 9427 on routes 75 and 82, I am content with the photos of the articulated bus 9023 on the routes.

Please tell me what you think!

Nice job... Too bad I never got to ride the D40LF last time I went up to Toronto.

You have until 2016 to ride them. They are found in the southwest part of the city (Queensway), but I remember taking them when they were at eglinton garage.

I just posted another night photo of 9023 to Flickr, and I will show it here:

I personally like how the borders of the photo are blurry, but the bus is not. I had issues with some dirt getting on my camera lens, which created the distortion after I cleaned it.
