Fred G 63 Posted September 5, 2008 Share #1 Posted September 5, 2008 According to This post at Railroad.net (scroll down), here is the roster of Metro North MU stock: M1's car numbers: 8200s, 8300s 178 built M2's Car numbers: 8400s, 8800s (MTA owned) 8500s, 8600s (bar cars) 8700s (CDOT owned) 244 total M3's Car numbers: 8000s, 8100s 142 built M4's Car numbers: 8900s 54 built (36 CDOT 18 MTA) M6's Car numbers: 9000's 48 built (32 CDOT 16 MTA) M7's Car numbers: 4000s 336 built M8's Car numbers: (pending delivery) 9100s, 9200s, 9300s, 9400s and 9500s. 200 on order (100 CDOT 100 MTA) follow up orders (including bar cars) will total 366.
