DaTransitMan4608 Posted January 6, 2015 Share #101 Posted January 6, 2015 I still wonder why Howell has 128 pieces. 7284 is on the 137 right now as well. I guess we'll start seeing the 7300s by the end of this week. Howell shouldn't be doing the 128 at all. They have an attendance problem down there and because of that, Academy and the Northern garages are taking some of their runs (7668 is on the 139 right now).
BZGuy Posted January 6, 2015 Share #102 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Blvd East needs all the help it can get in the morning. Plus you have to remember the majority of the 165 and 166 (and all of the 168) services during the rush hours are Turnpike Expresses. 553 Bridgeton Posted January 7, 2015 Share #103 Posted January 7, 2015 How has always did 128s. I wonder also youd think Oradell would be able to handle the few runs.
SirJokaPlaya Posted January 7, 2015 Share #104 Posted January 7, 2015 Oradell plays games when I was driving. I had situations where I was doing the 128 to NY, and then all of the sudden, you see a 165 or 166, and they would stay behind me, change the sign to NOT IN SERVICE, and make me bust my butt all because I have a 45 while they have a 40 with maybe 20 people inside and room for 29 more people and a few standee's during RUSH HOUR AM service. That would so PISS ME OFF. SO much that I pulled over, told one drive I had a breakdown, so he went on, and starting picking up people. Note that by the time he left, I reappeared as NOT IN SERVICE and blew him away. He had a full bus from 48th on while I had 36 people and had CLEAR sailing. Next time, he knew now to F with me. You gotta work just like I do or just don't work. That's one of the things I don't miss with NJT: you gotta take people so just take them. At least with GLI, the only reason I can't take no one is because all seats are taken and we don't allow standees (although if they're going from Newark to NYC, I'll take a few for a 20 minute trip. No big deal).
DaTransitMan4608 Posted January 9, 2015 Share #105 Posted January 9, 2015 It's confirmed, the CTs will not have logos on the front unfortunately. Hopefully they'll put ads on them soon. Saw 7285 on Route 34 not too long ago.
Silk City Transit Posted January 13, 2015 Share #106 Posted January 13, 2015 How has always did 128s. I wonder also youd think Oradell would be able to handle the few runs. The starters will sometimes have Oradell operators pull 128 trips at 212 on the fly in the pm if the platform is overcrowded.

DaTransitMan4608 Posted January 18, 2015 Share #111 Posted January 18, 2015 Are they gonna bring the CNGs out tomorrow?
Cait Sith Posted January 19, 2015 Author Share #112 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Are they gonna bring the CNGs out tomorrow? That all depends on how the routes are scheduled to run. We'll have to wait and see. Edited January 19, 2015 by Cait Sith
553 Bridgeton Posted January 19, 2015 Share #113 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) They gona have to eventually. DaTransitMan4608 Posted January 30, 2015 Share #118 Posted January 30, 2015 Up to 7345 built and ready to head to the East Coast. That's 67 CNGs built already. MCI is on the ball here. I think the riders are impressed with them too. My mother had 7295 and it felt like she was on the train.
46Dover Posted February 11, 2015 Share #119 Posted February 11, 2015 I saw quite a few of them inbound and outbound this morning. I don't know if this was mentioned or not, but I noticed the back of those buses have cameras for seeing what's behind it

Yeah it's probably one of those cameras that records accidents for lawsuits. Did you see any older CNGs, according to the numbers, there's only 9 left. You know what else is weird, I haven't seen anything over 7308 on MyBusNow yet. Edited February 11, 2015 by Transitkid4608
Juan833Blue Posted February 12, 2015 Share #121 Posted February 12, 2015 I can't wait to ride those New NJT MCI CNGs this spring!!! From what I heard they are WAY better than those Designlines!!!
553 Bridgeton Posted February 13, 2015 Share #122 Posted February 13, 2015 That camera is a rear backup camera. Some drivers dont use the schedule mode so you wont see those buses on my bus for the new cngs.
Cait Sith Posted February 23, 2015 Author Share #123 Posted February 23, 2015 Word is that 7217 is built. Gonna try and find out more about that. Buses built are in the 7360s.

Buses built are in the 7360s.That must be the first of the 63 buses that are supplementing the remaining DesignLines. They've already built into 7360 and I haven't seen anything past 7316...
