Cait Sith Posted August 21, 2015 Author Share #226 Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) Me too. I wonder what made them change it up? Was it MCI's new design? Whatever it is, I hope they opted to put those on this upcoming mass order. Nah, it's not their design. Just a spec change. These seats I'm assuming are tests, as the seats on the new D4500CTs are supposed to have something very similar, with seat belts. Basically, if you've ever been on a greyhound, peter pan or boltbus type of bus, you'd understand. Cait Sith Posted October 26, 2015 Author Share #240 Posted October 26, 2015 They've been using CNGs more because they're short on diesel buses. They sent a number of 8200s to Egg Harbor, which made em kinda short. I think some 7400s also left Howell.
DaTransitMan4608 Posted October 27, 2015 Share #241 Posted October 27, 2015 They've been using CNGs more because they're short on diesel buses. That may be why they had CNGs out on Sunday.

Transitfan007 Posted April 18, 2016 Share #246 Posted April 18, 2016 Just saw a brand new one; 16001 on the HELIX for the second time. Has (NJT) changed their numbering scheme?
46Dover Posted April 19, 2016 Share #247 Posted April 19, 2016 They're going by the year now, hence 16001
Fan Railer Posted April 21, 2016 Share #248 Posted April 21, 2016 Just saw a brand new one; 16001 on the HELIX for the second time. Has (NJT) changed their numbering scheme? 16001 is one of the new diesel cruisers. Along with 16002, it is a pilot bus for the 1000+ cruiser order, which is unrelated to the hybrid / cng fleet.
553 Bridgeton Posted April 22, 2016 Share #249 Posted April 22, 2016 (edited) All hybrids are on property in Egg Harbor 4008-4040,4042-4044. 4041 was involved in an accident at the garage that damaged the hybrid battery and def tank. Bus is out until further notice. At first it was thought to be a 4045 but 4044 is the last bus. 4009 was at meadowlands for maintenance training. 4008-4044 will be heading to Ironbound sometime in or after july and Egg Harbor will be getting the new 16000s and 10 with lavs for the 319 since the hybrid lav order was canceled in the end.
