ConcourseExp Posted November 16, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2014 I know people are on the fence about this, but could the MTA possibly bring back the express because every time the trains are at Avenue X during rush hours, it is always full of people. MysteriousBtrain Posted November 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2014 There is a study for a culver express. The problem is how the express will run since culver isn't like most express lines.

Bill from Maspeth Posted November 16, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 16, 2014 Here we go again. If express service is ever bought back don't think there will be extra trains on the line. It will be a service cut to the local. Plus what does "full of people " mean? A few standees?

MTA Dude Posted November 17, 2014 Share #7 Posted November 17, 2014 Avenue X does not need express service. From what I know, trains usually aren't full until like Church Avenue.
Lance Posted November 18, 2014 Share #8 Posted November 18, 2014 I really wish people here would realize that any express service on the Culver line is a direct service cut to the local stations. The track layout does not allow for additional service without cutting service on the E line. Another problem is that Coney Island cannot terminate all of the F trains as it is. That's why some rush hour trains turn at Kings Highway.

Why did you title this thread "F Express Trains to Jamaica" if you're talking about bringing back express service at Avenue X? Avenue X is nowhere near Queens. What does Jamaica even have to do with this? Now if you were suggesting to have express service on Hillside Ave, then it would be more appropriate. Although an express in Jamaica, would likely result in a service cut to the "local" F stations between 71st Ave and 179th St.

Jsunflyguy Posted November 20, 2014 Share #11 Posted November 20, 2014 There isn't even a load balancing issue on the Hillside section.
