1995 Orion V CNG Posted November 24, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2014 I noticed that when you are in the city, buses always spawn 3 at a time (and on rare occasions, 4), unless you are at the depot were as many as 8 or 9 may be parked. I find this annoying, because it is simply unrealistic. I also noticed that the LST Red line Trains only spawn one at a time in one direction, unlike GTA 4 were 2 or more trains could be seen at any time. What do you guys think. And for that matter, what does the blue-green buses depict? I know that Red is Rapid, Blue is express, and Orange is local. Not sure what the blue-green NABI 45 Metro C ripoffs are suppose to follow. There's even a super rare sliver version of the bus (which is likely a cut scene Easter egg).
Quill Depot Posted November 24, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2014 It's a video game, and I'm not sure accurate simulation is Rockstar's specialty with the game, rather stunning graphics and a great open world environment are.

peacemak3r Posted November 24, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2014 I agree with Quill, it's a game...games (especially when not labeled a simulation) would never be 'realistic'.
1995 Orion V CNG Posted November 25, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted November 25, 2014 Well, it would be awesome if they paid attention to detail in the future.
peacemak3r Posted November 25, 2014 Share #6 Posted November 25, 2014 So you want realism in a fantasy 'GAME'. Doesn't seem logical, we'd call it a simulator at that point.
Grand Concourse Posted November 25, 2014 Share #7 Posted November 25, 2014 To the op: I really hope you didn't buy the game just to drive the buses. I mean you may as well find a simulator game if you wanted more accuracy. Me I bought the game just for the endless mayhem i can do as well as playing out the main storyline. trainfan22 Posted November 25, 2014 Share #8 Posted November 25, 2014 There's hardware limitations, I'm glad they gave the transit aspects of the game the bare bone treatment. Also nobody cares about this other than transit fans. Even the Mountain Lions hardly spawn and they are programmed to attack random people in the game other than the player, someone on YT caught on video of the Mountain Lion running though one of those towns in the rural area of the map attacking people. Also in this game you buy a TANK online and other Military vehicles, IRL I don't think that's even possible unless its to a Film Studio for a movie. I hate the mountain lions, they pop up without warning and you are sol if you don't shoot it fast enough. I do miss hijacking the train to crash it (when not on a mission). Also would've been nice if you can blow it up. I just exploited the hunting with Cletus glitch where instead of finishing the hunting right away, I drive onto the military base and steal the tank, buzzard helicopter, and lazer fighter jet (and get free rounds for the minigun in the military base control tower). Best to do this after the main storyline mission is done since the game won't save them if you wanted to select another helicopter or plane. And of course wait till after you get the strip club as it seems any car (in my case it was a bulldozer i saved when saving a construction worker) saved at the beach house are lost after trevor kills the owners. Javier Posted November 26, 2014 Share #11 Posted November 26, 2014 You have heard of "Mods" right? There's a new one that increases the spawn count of the buses, and there's going to be a new one that brings NYC's R46 and R142 to the Los Santos Subway System. peacemak3r Posted November 26, 2014 Share #12 Posted November 26, 2014 You need to clarify that mods would only probably work on PC versions as modding a console would void things.

Javier Posted November 27, 2014 Share #14 Posted November 27, 2014 Wait, do you have next gen or current gen? If he has next gen, this mod will work without modifying his Xbox One, thus allowing him to install mods on there.

peacemak3r Posted November 29, 2014 Share #17 Posted November 29, 2014 If it mods any console system, I'm 100% sure it voids any warranties and violates some ToS terms as well. Unless only being released as a DLC as a ploy for money.

It's moments like those that make me wish it was like RDR where you had more stamina and Dead Eye to stop them from getting the drop on you. NY1635 Posted November 30, 2014 Share #19 Posted November 30, 2014 I thought that there was too much focus on the heists. Out of all of them, only the jewelry store, the Paleto and the Big One was fun to play. The Merryweather Heist and the FIB heist both felt tacked on and incomplete. I just couldn't bring myself to care about the game's message about corrupt government agents or private milita.
Kamen Rider Posted December 1, 2014 Share #20 Posted December 1, 2014 just because you CAN mod something does not mean it's A. legal and B. A good idea. We're talking about a game where the point is to cause crime and general mayhem in a fictionalized version of Los Angeles. I'm sure the developers were directly considering bus fans when they programed it. If you'll excuse me, I have a desk to head.
LTA1992 Posted December 5, 2014 Share #21 Posted December 5, 2014 Well, it would be awesome if they paid attention to detail in the future. Detail? Are you blind? That game is FULL of "attention to detail".

I just couldn't bring myself to care about the game's message about corrupt government agents or private milita. I kinda liked the heists. The Paleto one was a little daunting and then it was like 'holy shit' with the tanks firing the cannon at you, but I guess it is set up to intentionally miss. The big one, i hated those giant windmills. Merryweather one, the sniping part really pissed me off. I was thinking about skipping it, but finally finished it on the 3rd try. And yeah pity it was all for nothing as $20mil or whatever it was worth could've helped big time that part of the game. The one mission that really screwed me over was the one you had to ride a bike and jump on the train. I just kept falling over and had to skip everything till the point you crash the train. Shootouts, i am good at, sniping and balancing, not as much.

Javier Posted December 12, 2014 Share #25 Posted December 12, 2014 Which brings me to question, how come no one has EVER tried to mod/switch the R32 in GTA IV with a R142?
