It's suspected at least they the gunman picked this place because Channel 7 is across the road from it.

Everything else outside the area is going on like normal. Trains are still running but not stopping at Martin Place. Buses are terminating in areas on the CBD fringe.

5 people have managed to get out. 3 apprantly escaped. Not sure about the other 2.

In a nutshell:
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra line trains will run as normal but will not stop at Martin Place.
Citybound express bus services that operate via the Eastern Distributor will use the Eastern Distributor, William Street, College Street, St James Road, and Elizabeth Street to Liverpool Street.

Route 200 bus services will operate to North Sydney via Park Street, Druitt Street, Clarence Street and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Route 200 bus services will operate to Bondi Junction via the Sydney Harbour Bridge, York Street, Druitt Street and Park Street.

CDC/Hillsbus route 620, 650, and 642 bus services that operate via the Cahill Expressway will use Grosvenor Street, George Street and Market Street.

That ending won't leave me for many years. It was just unbelievable.
Sadly two people died. One of a heart attack and one who was shot attempting to grab the shotgun.
A massive shrine of flowers has appeared outside C7.

A massive shout out has to go to the police in they way they dealt with it.

Channel 7s position was that good the police used it.

Details of what was going on in there are slowly coming out.

 

The real kicker out of it. he was granted a gun license.
