Strain Posted March 31, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2015 Ok this might be a weird question but does anyone know the station on the 4 5 6 where the trains come barreling into the station because there entering off a decline I think the station is somewhere on the west side? Gong Gahou Posted March 31, 2015 Share #4 Posted March 31, 2015 Ok this might be a weird question but does anyone know the station on the 4 5 6 where the trains come barreling into the station because there entering off a decline I think the station is somewhere on the west side? West side = East side = Don't get confused now! Assuming you are talking about the East side, there are a couple of places I can think of: 59th Street n/b 96 Street n/b 125 Street n/b 77 Street s/b
Strain Posted April 1, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted April 1, 2015 Yea sorry about that i mean the east side i only ask because ive been watching videos of the subways recently and i remember one time when i visited the city we were waiting for the and some random person told me not to stand to close because the trains always enter the station faster than normal
Wallyhorse Posted April 1, 2015 Share #6 Posted April 1, 2015 77th in particular would make sense. Trains are coming downhill from 86th Street and also northbound from 68th Street (I believe why 68th has the mezzanine in fact as 68th is up a hill quite a bit). trainfan22 Posted April 1, 2015 Share #8 Posted April 1, 2015 59th Street N/B on the express track instantly comes to mind.
Gong Gahou Posted April 2, 2015 Share #9 Posted April 2, 2015 86th? Can't be, as the tunnels go downhill at both ends of the station.
MHV9218 Posted April 3, 2015 Share #10 Posted April 3, 2015 96th N/B sounds like it to me. You're working without a descent once you're out of 86th Street, and trains move along on the way into the station. The platform is also fairly narrow by the ends.
