An Express Run Down Da 1

So I went railfanning yesterday:

(took from 23rd to 42nd street, to times square, to 242nd, then back, to columbus circle, took to west 4th, to delancey, regular to chambers, special to prospect then all the way back to essex and home)

 

after leaving 242nd street, my 1 train skipped a whole bunch of stops:

after 242nd we stopped at 231st, then dyckman street and then 168th before continuing on the normal run. train stayed on the local track.

it was not due to a G.O

 

nice ride, but i dun dink da 1 line needs express service in upper manhattan/bronx, at least regularly.

Maybe the train was late? I was on a Manhattan-bound train after 12:00PM (generally, after this time all Manhattan-bound trains are local) once that ran express to 74th St because it was late. It stayed on the local track.

Sounds like a battery run to me.
