N6 Limited Posted April 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 14, 2015 Why is it whenever there is eastbound traffic on the Northern State Parkway and Long Island Expressway it usually clears up by Roslyn Road?
FamousNYLover Posted April 15, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 15, 2015 Speaking of slow zone, Long Beach has 25mph Speed Limit on Park Av.
peacemak3r Posted April 17, 2015 Share #3 Posted April 17, 2015 Why is it whenever there is eastbound traffic on the Northern State Parkway and Long Island Expressway it usually clears up by Roslyn Road? To my experience, the entire LIE has been a "slow zone" for me. Speaking of slow zone, Long Beach has 25mph Speed Limit on Park Av. Like New Yorker's follow speed limits anyway. We're talking about highways and expressways here and there is NO chance these roads would accommodate a 25 mph limit.
Joel Up Front Posted April 17, 2015 Share #4 Posted April 17, 2015 1) Too many people trying to get to Northern Boulevard 2) Too many people trying to get into the neighborhoods in and around Roslyn I wish I knew. I thought the Southern State at the rush was bad...

FamousNYLover Posted April 17, 2015 Share #6 Posted April 17, 2015 Most Long Island drivers don't want to drive on Northern Parkway either because off too many potholes,

It's funny because when I drive around Riverdale, I see the same amount of V6's and V8's parked or rolling around that neighborhood.

LOL... In Riverdale I've been seeing a TON of Audi's of late and other luxury cars but primarily Audi's. I do a count every morning when I walk to the express bus or Metro-North and during my 5-10 minute walk, there always seems to be an Audi meeting me. In the summertime I've seen Lamborghini's flying down Riverdale Avenue. Folks used to be more reserved in buying high-end cars here (they certainly are in the estate area in Fieldston, as you can see a Toyota parked in front a multi-milllion dollar 1920's house lol), but apparently that is changing. lol

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted April 23, 2015 Share #10 Posted April 23, 2015 They lease them as the Audi ads are almost nonstop on cable TV Most are leasing these days. If I had a car I would do the same thing... Lease for 3 years, then trade in for another one when the agreement is up. It's much easier that way and less stress, especially with the terrible roads here in New York.
peacemak3r Posted April 28, 2015 Share #11 Posted April 28, 2015 Anyone with the right mind would lease any new car in New York like VG8 said anyway. The only time I'd buy an older car is if I'm seriously into getting a project car.
