MTA Bus Operations: Scrapped Equipment List

7430 looks pretty bad and may be heading to retirement soon.

Definitely NOT repairable. But again there has been wonders including the infamous 8017. The way that bus is damaged I don't see it being in service.

According to resources, 7430 will be held on to privately for police evidence, then afterwards it's off to retirement.

So 7430 to scrap.

Never assume that this bus is heading to scrap. Like 8017, it can be repaired. But it's gonna come out of Dahlia's pockets

I believe 8017 was still under warranty though when it got into that accident.

Nah. I doubt they are gonna repair this one. Pretty sure the frame of the bus has crumpled on this one. Totaled.

And everybody thought that this bus was gonna be scrapped and I said what you just mentioned above. When buses get into a wreck it's a different story, but when buses get wrecked by another one that is too powerful, then that company must pay the assess damages that it caused.

You sure about that? If so what happened?

1226 was reported by a very reliable source in ECH scrap yard. No visible damage.

While the bus is in the scrap yard, it may not be scrap. System roster does not have it on the scrap list, so it should not be deemed as such.

There is a good chance they will repair 8126. 1258 had similar damage and it got rebuilt. Lets not rush to judge it so quickly.

You can now officially take 9207 off the scrapped list.

From the MTA list you can deem it scrapped.

8831 to scrap. 5035 to storage.

Staten Island Advance (SILive.com) has the complete story in last Saturday's edition.

My deepest sympathies to the family on the death of the driver.

Arthur Kill Road is an extremely dangerous street to drive as it has one lane in each direction, hairpin turns, no passing lanes and to be quite honest  is quite scary from Woodrow Road to Tottenville. There are quite a few accidents on that street  and just wait for the winter as the street becomes a sheet of ice. Where the garage is the roadway is quite narrow with no place to pass.
