I remember my last ride on an 97-98 RTS, it was on the B60 a couple months ago. It was in pretty good shape for its age at the time.
mta B43 Posted March 23, 2018 Share #1304 Posted March 23, 2018 Yea I actually had 9674 on the B32 this past Monday, it was still in great shape
Eric B Posted March 23, 2018 Share #1305 Posted March 23, 2018 I was on one a few months ago on the B13, and figured it would be my last. It seems they were all rushed out, ahead of the 96's (of which a bunch were actually taken back out of storage awhile ago, and now someone say they're going to be around for at least TWO more years), because of a defective wheelchair lift. Wonder why they didn't just take some lifts out of the 96's then, since that fleet was apparently so much better.
Calvin Posted March 24, 2018 Share #1306 Posted March 24, 2018 When a unit goes to scrap, does the TA save the driver shield to be put on to another bus or that it goes with it?
MysteriousBtrain Posted March 24, 2018 Share #1307 Posted March 24, 2018 From what I hear 7674 is out too.

It's saved and put on another part along with whatever could be reused such as seats, wipers, mirrors, etc.

MysteriousBtrain Posted March 25, 2018 Share #1311 Posted March 25, 2018 If you really are the hardcore fan, there's still 4900-4901 which are actual 1998 models from this order.

Well technically 4902-5104 were built in 1998 also. They are just 1999 models. Edited March 26, 2018 by East New York

Calvin Posted April 8, 2018 Share #1319 Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) Just to point out: 7664 and 7670 are still at SC however, their farebox is removed as well as GPS. *All Orion VII CNGs from 7560-7684 are finished except those two have a "Do not use" sign.
