B46 via Utica Posted November 4, 2015 Share #102 Posted November 4, 2015 Necroposting much? But anyway anybody have an opinion on SI Prevosts lately I have to say the seats are weirdly designed and I feel cramped but the seats are the only problem I have with the interiors the only problem is I don't think they will last at SI. DaTransitMan4608 Posted November 4, 2015 Share #104 Posted November 4, 2015 I honestly can't wait until the XN40s come to Manhattan. I'm starting to get sick of these Orions, and the fact that the pilot/lead buses will be here soon makes me excited. Any word on when it'll be here and what the number sequence will be? I was hoping to see some more Xcelsiors in Manhattan, but I guess I'll have to just be pleased with them on the Q32 and the seldom XD60 appearances on the M100. The contract has not even been signed yet, sit down Damn. Oh well.
Fresh Pond Posted November 4, 2015 Share #108 Posted November 4, 2015 I feel you. It's sad that the MTA got rid of that route and the buses that ran on it. It was an oddball fleet of 3 buses. Buses couldn't really fit in any other garage without some sort of problems, plus they were of retirement age anyway.

Speaking of those Xcelsiors, I recently saw one parked up by 1st and 126th street right near the old depot. I was wondering what that bus was doing there?? East New York Posted November 5, 2015 Author Share #114 Posted November 5, 2015 Gleason is prepping for Artics.... New orders for buses will be updated in the fleet and depots thread over the next few days. It is unconfirmed where all the CNG Artics will be going other than Gleason. Rumor has it College Point may get in on the action.

B22viaAtlanticAv Posted November 5, 2015 Share #117 Posted November 5, 2015 Great the Q25 SBS doesn't seems far-fetched now, overall I welcome the CNG artics no matter which depot gets them.

NewFlyer 230 Posted November 6, 2015 Share #122 Posted November 6, 2015 I can see CP getting CNG artics because the MTA is getting so many CNG buses both standard and articulated. It's been a long time coming for JG getting artics and they are really needed.

It's been a long time coming for JG getting artics and they are really needed. CP needs to displace some C40s to NYCT if they were to get them. Coincidentally, some MTA bus units have MTA New York City Bus instead of MTA Bus when they got their repaint done. Could be a sign of them moving, but wouldn't count on it since I think one of the 3700 VIIs had that repaint too.
Rafa Posted November 6, 2015 Share #124 Posted November 6, 2015 yea put artics on all the route. Soon as a couple inches of snow falls the entire line is shut down.
beelinefan Posted November 6, 2015 Share #125 Posted November 6, 2015 I can see west farms getting 30 buses from the cng artic order (they have 30 d60hfs) and the remaining 80 being split between gleason and cp.
