There was a template map on nycsubway.org, but I can't find. I didn't want to make a new thread related to this. To the cartographers here, what software and programs do you guys use for fantasy maps, and where do you find templates or maps to use as a base? Back when I was starting to draw fantasy maps, I used Paint. Around 2012-2013, I switched to Inkscape. I did this very slow and painstaking process of screenshooting New York City through Google Earth, piece by piece, and combining them to use as a base. I'm interested in making a map for Guatemala City, but I am not sure where I to find a database for maps. And I was told that Inkscape isn't really good for that.
