LegoBrickBreaker101 Posted December 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 24, 2015 http://abc7ny.com/traffic/unmanned-mta-bus-rolls-into-parked-car-sparks-chain-reaction-on-uws/1133952/ So apparently this bus was improperly parked, and rolled down a hill crashing into some cars. If the cars weren't in the way, the bus would've first hit a oil tank in front of PS. 75. It happened on 96th and West End Avenue in the Upper West Side. peacemak3r Posted December 25, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 25, 2015 Glad no one got hurt! Nice to see MTA paying for the damages as well, thought they'd probably leave it to the insurance companies.
Blitz Posted December 25, 2015 Share #6 Posted December 25, 2015 The MTA is self insured.

Blitz Posted December 31, 2015 Share #8 Posted December 31, 2015 That is where chock blocks would have definitely come into playCompared to other commercial drivers, mta bus drivers barely have to scratch their own asses. No way the union would allow them to have to use wheel chocks unless they got paid extra to do it.
