Roadcruiser1 Posted June 28, 2011 Share #102 Posted June 28, 2011 No. It would overcrowd the tracks on the Flatbush College end. Only two subway services can use two tracks without causing overcrowding.
Kendell Posted June 28, 2011 Share #103 Posted June 28, 2011 Goes to New Lots Ave while to flatbush?
Roadcruiser1 Posted June 28, 2011 Share #104 Posted June 28, 2011 There is nothing wrong with the at Flatbush Avenue. Why would you change it in the first place? Here is something more real for you. Elevate the , and north of Flatbush Avenue, and have it run to Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. It would help the Utica Avenue residents, and the people in Sheepshead Bay.

TwoTimer Posted July 1, 2011 Share #107 Posted July 1, 2011 Using existing track layouts, where around the system would you put new stations that never had them before? One place I can think of is Allerton Av on the line. Still some good distance from Gun Hill and while NIMBYish it would make yet another alternate Co-op station (along with Baychester/Pelham/Gun Hill)
dman1455 Posted July 1, 2011 Share #108 Posted July 1, 2011 I don't know but why not put in a 4 car station between Bay 50th St on the and 25th Avenue so people from the projects don't have to walk!
EE Broadway Local Posted July 1, 2011 Author Share #109 Posted July 1, 2011 How about, possibly, an infill station at 175th Street and Broadway on the I.R.T. ? There still would be seven blocks to 168th Street and six blocks to 181st Street .
TwoTimer Posted July 1, 2011 Share #110 Posted July 1, 2011 How about, possibly, an infill station at 175th Street and Broadway on the I.R.T. ? There still would be seven blocks to 168th Street and six blocks to 181st Street . Thing is, the bus terminal isn't right upstairs, thats why there's one on the line. I thought of the Dyre idea a long time ago, and I know there used to be a station in between Dekalb and Grand/Canal right before the split (Mike can elaborate on this), and DUMBO could use another station besides York (the main one) and High (which is more for those on the southern side of the Brooklyn Bridge). Im thinking in the Tillary St area.
Guest lance25 Posted July 1, 2011 Share #111 Posted July 1, 2011 That's an easy one TwoTimer. I'd put one at Union Avenue on the Jamaica line with connections to the at Broadway and close the Hewes St and Lorimer St stations.

2 Train Master Posted July 2, 2011 Share #120 Posted July 2, 2011 If an official Bronx would come into play why not put switches at Fordham to make as an express station Woodlawn via M track to Fordham then runs via local bypassing 183rd and switching back over at Burnside then straight to 149th.I saw a pic on subway.org with switches thats not currently at Fordham today.
Eric Posted July 2, 2011 Share #121 Posted July 2, 2011 Add 96th Street for the along Central Park West. I think that's equidistant between 59 and 125th Streets. This isn't possible with the current track layout. The uptown and downtown lines are stacked along the park. There's no way to get the or to stop at 96th. In other news, my infill stations: Avenue T ( Neptune Ave 3rd St 7th Ave South Tillary St Atlantic Ave

peacemak3r Posted July 2, 2011 Share #124 Posted July 2, 2011 In other news, my infill stations: Avenue T ( I think that is stupid, Ave U's station is not even half a block away from Ave T. Also to the guy that said Ave S is bad also.
TwoTimer Posted July 3, 2011 Share #125 Posted July 3, 2011 Central Park West Allerton Avenue. White Plains Road (redundant with Bx Park East right there, but still helpful) Tillary Street 5th Avenue
