That would not work because the (4)(5)(8) would not all fit in one tunnel.

Well it's actually possible, because they are basically changing Nereid Av-bound trains/trains leaving Nereid designated as (5)s to (8) and running them local with the (6) in Manhattan, and express from 180-149. It'd theoretically be the same amount of trains on the WPR line. The schedule would have to be worked at, to run smoothly with the current <5> between 180th & 3 Av as well as the (6) in Manh, but it's not impossible.

Those are some mighty fast jaunts through Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Also, I know it's sort of beating a dead horse, but Rockaways/Breezy Point riders don't really need service past Beach 116th St.

Also also, your four Manhattan stops are pretty confusing. E 116th St, 42nd St, either Broadway-Lafayette or LES-2 Av, then West Houston and Av C? Some local service is cool too.

It's true that they don't need service past B116th Street, but it gives them an alternative to the A and access to the east side. The Q,T will provide local service in Manhattan. Houston St-2nd Avenue is LES 2nd Ave and 116th St is E116th St.

I'll stick with what's physically realistic and say…

  • (N): Astoria/Coney Island; Broadway Express, via Manhattan Bridge, 4 Avenue Express, Sea Beach Local
  • <Q>: Midtown/Coney Island; Broadway Express, via Manhattan Bridge, Brighton Express; this'll get me to Manhattan a hell lot faster than any other line

If the (MTA) ever construts the SAS, they should have it connect with the (J)(Z) just before Canal Street and have them run together. I will have the track map coming up in a few days.

I noticed service missing in the following areas (in red):

NYCTSubwaymap-Copy.gif

I will make some fictional routes tomorrow, I need to go to bed now lol.

Hmm interesting topic, I wonder which one will I create ;)

Line: Extension of the (L)

Streets that it goes under: 11th/Went End Avenue

Stations:

11/West End Avenue

96 Street: (1)(2)(3)

86 Street

80 Street

72 Street: Passageway to (1)(2)(3)

59 Street

50 Street

42 Street

34 Street

23 Street

14 Street-Chelsea Piers

11th Avenue is too close to the river for that to work. I would do this as a 10th Avenue line extension of the (L), with after 8th Avenue-14th Street the line going in a north-northwest direction before reaching the first 10th Avenue stop, 21st-23rd Streets, with 31st-33rd Streets-10th Avenue (straight shot walk from either exit to the by-then open Moynahan Station, possibly with a direct underground entrance) the next stop. I would have no 50th Street stop, but have one at 65th-66th/Amsterdam before a terminal at 72nd Street under the (1)/(2)/(3) OR perhaps a terminal at 96th/Amsterdam (which is on considerably higher ground than West End Avenue at 96th) with a walkway to the steps that had been used as part of the old (1)/(2)/(3) track access on the north end before the current entrance replaced that for a transfer from the (L).

So for the most part, it mirrors the B46 LTD.

And for 2nd Ave Subway service to the Bronx in general, I would add a seperate stop at 2nd Ave and 125th St. Pretty silly that service to/from the Bronx would go straight from 138th St to 116th St. And I already detailed my plans for a 125th St crosstown route.
