BM5 via Woodhaven Posted January 23, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2016 This was a little trip I took on January 15 (a week ago), getting some last footage of the now-defunct NICE bus routes. We start in Jamaica, waiting for the n6 2015 New Flyer "Xcelsior" XN40 1891 on the n24 (NICE Bus) at 165 Street/Hillside Avenue by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr I get on the n6, get off at Meacham Avenue, and walk towards Tulip and Covert 2015 New Flyer "Xcelsior" XN40 1895 on the n6 (NICE Bus) at Hempstead Turnpike/ Meacham Avenue by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr 2010 Orion VII "Next Generation" CNG 1775 on the n8 at Covert Avenue/Tulip Avenue by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr The sign shortly after malfunctioned, so I didn't get the shot of the n2 sign. Whatever, I guess. Anyways, I board on the bus, and attempt to take an on-board video for the whole ride. Unfortunately, my camera turned off at some point for whatever reason, and the video did not save (I was at around Valley Stream LIRR). So, unlike the other routes, I do not have a full on-board video, just part of the route from Valley Stream LIRR to Hempstead Turnpike. There were a nice amount of riders, which can be seen below. The sign was also not working. Nevertheless, it still had a good engine and ran good (but let's see how long that lasts).
