Actually, the exact opposite is more appropriate. The Times Square shuttle is the only true shuttle, since it only shuttles people from one stop to the next. Additionally, it was created to be a a shuttle, while the Franklin St line is actually an original part of the Brighton line, which used to continue into an El.

Just give the Franklyn St line a letter, and reserve S for Times Square.

Someone messed with a R160 at Stillwell Terminal and turned it into the Rockpark Shuttle it was pretty funny.

A FIND must have froze while someone tried it out as a (:D. It was being displayed as such on an (N) out of Stillwell on Tuesday. Could be a sign of things to come, though.

Well if you really want to get technical, the Grand Central Shuttle was originally part of the IRT mainline and therefore also not intended to be a shuttle. :P

However, both that and the Franklin Ave Shuttle should remain as (S) since both are well known as shuttles and have been for quite some time. Then you have one in each division and I doubt that many people are confused by it. The Rockaway Pk (S), OTOH, should return to being the (H).

Aha. Well, it's still just one stop, I suppose. The Franklyn shuttle makes a few stops, and formerly more. It might still warrant a letter status other than shuttle. The (H) should return either way.
