RTS9000 Posted February 29, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 29, 2016 I found this image on Subchat. Interesting new numbering scheme though. Credits to the original photographer - this was found off of Subchat.
GojiMet86 Posted February 29, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 29, 2016 The first bus of the 2016 year. It's the new numbering scheme.
Cait Sith Posted February 29, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 29, 2016 These series of buses will have the Cummins ISX in them. Apparently, the DD13 has been rejected.
GojiMet86 Posted March 1, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 1, 2016 This is the first one of the 772 diesel order, correct?
DetSMART45 Posted March 1, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 1, 2016 I actually prefer including the mfr year as part of the ID, lets you see how the maintenance is kept up in later years. Not a fan, though, of that front end. Let a bus be a bus, with prominent headlamp assemblies. Don't see semi-tractors or even consumer-level pickups with dinky, "softer side" headlamps, do you? RTS9000 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted March 1, 2016 This is the first one of the 772 diesel order, correct? It is the first. Total is more than 1100 buses, but yes the base is 772.
Around the Horn Posted March 1, 2016 Share #7 Posted March 1, 2016 16001. Really?
Fan Railer Posted March 2, 2016 Share #8 Posted March 2, 2016 These series of buses will have the Cummins ISX in them. Apparently, the DD13 has been rejected. That sucks... I was sort of hoping that the DD13 would be a thing. Any reason why it was rejected?
jayden 973 Posted March 2, 2016 Share #9 Posted March 2, 2016 Looks like 16001 is already. Its doing a trip on the 559.
Cait Sith Posted March 2, 2016 Share #10 Posted March 2, 2016 That sucks... I was sort of hoping that the DD13 would be a thing. Any reason why it was rejected? Numerous other agencies(Academy, Coach USA, etc) have had complaints about the regen system in the DD13s. But at this rate, we won't really know for sure until all the buses actually come. I've heard that the LED headlights don't burn through snow...or something to that effect....
