WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court granted a reprieve Monday to a former Republican governor of Virginia convicted of corruption, and in doing so made it harder for prosecutors to use federal fraud statutes against public officials.

In a unanimous decision that could benefit politicians and other public officials entangled by bribery, extortion and fraud statutes, the justices vacated the conviction of former governor Bob McDonnell while leaving open the possibility of a new trial.

What a f**king disgrace; the unanimity of the Court's decision to deregulate public corruption simply adds insult to the injury being done against our democracy....

Ah, someone noticed.

They're getting bold. Hillary Clinton skates. This guy skates. Campaign finance laws rewritten to benefit the wealthy and corporations. No limits on influence. Pay to play. "Free speech" that costs money and therefore people do not have equal means to use it. Cuts to social security. And a nationwide debate that is trying to ultimately take away the relatively few private guns held by citizens in this country, so that when you get angry, all you will be able to do is yell and shout from a bread line against their armed guards.
