There should be a petition to restore the X90.  It was well used and would be used if it returned.

Last X90 schedule 04/04/2010 - http://web.mta.info/nyct/bus/schedule/xpress/x090cur.pdf

Last X25 schedule 06/2009 - http://web.mta.info/nyct/bus/schedule/xpress/x025cur.pdf

Last X26 schedule 04/12/2004 - http://web.mta.info/nyct/bus/schedule/xpress/x026cur.pdf

Manhattanites (well those south of CPS, to be specific) love their taxi's.... Hate to say, but I think the damage is done....

.....Earliest date I found for bus scheds (in html of course) is July, 1997. I guess the B19 and B33 were long gone by then.

Yeah, the old B19 got cut during the late 80's & the old B33 got cut in '93 (the same year the old B10 turned into the B15)

You're probably right.  There would have to be some restructuring done to alleviate congestion as well in order for some routes to return.  I have to admit that when I stay in the city, we use taxis more than I would care to, but the other half doesn't care for the subway. lol

But not the V

http://web.mta.info/nyct/service/pdf/tvcur.pdf

I wonder what else is buried on the MTA site?

The (V) never had its own timetable; it was always included together with the (F) timetable at the url http://web.mta.info/nyct/service/pdf/tfcur.pdf, which of course is still being used and updated, unlike the dead routes' timetables.

I've know this for years at least 90% of the schedules for discontinued routes still exist. All the do is remove the links to the schedule when it gets cut. if you take the and change the route you can practically jump to most schedules

http://web.mta.info/nyct/bus/schedule/xpress/x064cur.pdf

 replace the x064 with x051

http://web.mta.info/nyct/bus/schedule/xpress/x051cur.pdf

and bam there you go you have the X51 schedule

The B10 needs to be back in existence and terminate in Spring Creek and let the B15 be the exclusive bus for JFK.

I DONT KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT THE B33 so I can't speak for that. However, B10 needs to return and let Grand Avenue run that.

The B5 was eliminated in 1995. It combined with the B50 to form the B82. There has been talk around here that those routes should have stayed put

The B50 also needs to be back into existence.

Let that work the back end. Flatbush/Kings Hwy to CI.

B82. Kings Hwy/Flatbush Ave to Starett City-Lousiana Avenue

Run the B15 between JFK & where?

That would be bringing back 100% of the the old B5 (with an extension to CI on top of it) and bringing back a truncated version of the old B50.... There are more riders from the Brighton line riding eastbound on the (current) B82, no question about it... This is why I would have the B50 reverted as was.... What you're saying with this is actually worse than the current B82 IMO....

Basically what I'm gettin at is, Kings Hwy/Flatbush av shouldn't be a common "midpoint" if the (current) B82 were to be split.... Both "splits" should serve the the Kings Hwy B/Q station.....

Would the 82 retain LTD service or would it be revoked?

That X51 schedule looked real nice. Service until 8:30 PM to Midtown (and until 9 PM to Flushing). Too bad ridership was rather crappy. If people were willing to take it over the (7) , then it could have done well, even with midday and evening (and who knows, maybe even weekend service of some sort). However, that was not the case, and by 2000, midday service was almost entirely gone (we all know the rest from there on).

BTW, I've never seen this type of design for the schedule:

That 2000 schedule is actually really good, and the first and last buses AM are after <7> ends

Not too sure I agree.   Hourly frequencies aren't exactly anything to write home about.  That isn't to say that the (7) is that great either, but the frequencies are decent, though the crowds suck.
