New Subway Map

The map will be updated in a few weeks as the (Q) is going back to its regular terminal in Midtown during weekdays and the (W) taking its place.

Peter Lloyd, who is writing a series of books on the history of the subway map, and I correspond via email, and he told me that he got a copy of the November map for within subway cars.

The November 2016 Subway map!!!!

Not the folded version but the full size wall map.

I saw one at Pelham Bay Park when I got off the train this afternoon.

It shows the W in place. It also has an enlarged grid at the top showing the R running late night between 95 St and Whitehall St-South Ferry.

The Q is shown terminating at 57/7 but nothing to indicate the SAS. "

I was given a description of the cover of the map for when the first phase of the Second Avenue Subway opens. On the cover, there is the path of the (Q) from 42nd Street to 96th Street without labels and station names.

Ah so they're basically doing the same thing they did for the "7 MEETS THE HUDSON" map. I'm assuming all the lines are white except for the yellow strip representing the (Q), which extends into the second panel and turns into the map you described?

I did not see it. Someone else who saw it described it to me. I would imagine it would be like that.

Why is there no late night or weekend service on the w

It's not needed late nights since the (N) runs the exact same route, and it's useless on weekends.

It never ran nights and weekends to begin with...well since Whitehall became the new South terminal anyway.
