You won't be receiving anything, anytime soon. What you have is a proposed answer key. Official results takes months, if not a year or longer. Best advice is to remain patient, and keep taking other exams that open up. Station Supervisor Level I
Abel Posted November 11, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted November 11, 2016 Thank you for your fast response and advise. There were only few hundred candidates who took the exam. Im wondering why will it take them that long.
Will-Bx-718 Posted November 12, 2016 Share #4 Posted November 12, 2016 Thank you for your fast response and advise. There were only few hundred candidates who took the exam. Im wondering why will it take them that long. Because DCAS is a very busy agency. They have to grade plenty of other citywide exams, and establish lists for them. After that's done then they send this info over to transit which has plenty of other exams they're hiring from. So through all these layers it takes time. Unfortunately the exam you took isn't the only one they're grading and hiring from. Which is why I said take other exams as well and be patient. Stone Posted November 13, 2016 Share #5 Posted November 13, 2016 I took this exam on 10/9 and received a letter this Wednesday for pre-employment process on next Monday. However, it is only a temporary position. I am hesitated for the term "temporary" as I've a very stable job for 15 years with full benefit and pension. If I take the risk for this temporary position, do I have chance to become permanent REM? As a temporary staff, do I qualify for health insurance benefit? These are my main concerns as I have to support of family of 4 with single income. By the way, on the motor vehicle license information form, it states "serious moving violations or accident record may disqualify. Therefore, list below all pending violations for traffic". I just received a camera speeding ticket in the mail today. My wife was the driver (we share one car), but I am the car owner. So the violation ticket is under my name. I think I also have another camera red light ticket which was over 6 years ago. Do I need to disclose these in the form? Any advice will be appreciated!
Will-Bx-718 Posted November 13, 2016 Share #6 Posted November 13, 2016 Temporary just means you'll be provisional. Basically you've passed the exam you took, and TA will hire you on a permanent basis once they establish a list and your number is reached. Also camera tickets don't count as serious moving violations because they carry no points. You only get points when stopped by an officer and given a ticket. I'd still divulge that info to them. Benefits start 90 days after you've been in the job. Station Supervisor Level I

About the health insurance benefit, will it cover my wife as well? She is a stay home mom. I know if insurance provided, it should cover children up to 26 years old if they are still dependent. I just want to make sure that my wife and children will be covered as well under the mta health benefit plan for temporary employees.
Will-Bx-718 Posted November 14, 2016 Share #8 Posted November 14, 2016 Yes they'll be covered under you policy. Obvious your premiums will be higher to cover your family. But when you're down there i'd question them about everything. So that way you can make the right choice.
